“Art
has always been a passion for me - I believe that great art should be
about pleasure and the senses - it should stir something inside you.
Having worked in the art world for many years, I realised that there
were lots of people who loved art, but were short of time and would
appreciate having artwork sourced exclusively for them. Our aim is to
make our clients' lives as easy as possible by finding the right art for them at the right price. We
have good relationships with many artists, galleries and private
collectors which means that we have access to a wide and diverse
selection of artwork - much of it not available on the open market.”

History
At the age of 22 Lisa Sharpe set up her own business designing handmade silk shoes: she designed the bridesmaids’ shoes for the Duke and Duchess of York' wedding, won a major fashion award in 1988, and was regularly featured in national magazines and newspapers including the commission below where her brief was to “Design a pair of shoes using either a bottle or can of Stella Artois."

After running Glanville-Sharpe for several years, Lisa Sharpe then pursued her life-long passion for art and history of art, by joining the art world – working for contemporary galleries and working on various marketing projects as a freelance consultant; following on with an Art Foundation Course as a mature student in 2002 winning a place to study for a Fine Art Degree, but choosing instead to go back to work with a London gallery and then finally setting up Lisa Sharpe Contemporary Art in 2006.
