Members of the Royal Academy

Royal Academicians are among the greatest names in contemporary British art. There are no more than 80 RA’s at any one time: all eminent practising artists, along with an unlimited number of Senior Academicians, aged 75 and over. Past RA’s include Sir Joshua Reynolds (the RA's first President), John Constable, Thomas Gainsborough and JMW Turner, while current Members include Peter Blake, Norman Foster, David Hockney, Tracey Emin, Anthony Gormley, David Mach, Anish Kapoor, John Hoyland, Christopher Le Brun and Kenneth Draper.
