All of Adam Roud's work whether figurative, abstract or wildlife, has a common thread of balance and movement running through it.

"In my abstract work, the individual pieces live in their own right, but when considered as a group, the individuals become a collective and it is this, that really interests me…..
My activity is the art: the drawing and sculpture are the evidence or residue of my thoughts. This is more about how I work, rather than what I make...."
All work can be created on a much larger scale to work within more spacious settings such as gardens and parkland.

2000 onwards Set up own studio and workshop to concentrate on creating own sculpture.
Since 2005 has also been teaching life drawing and sculpture at College Farm Arts.

1998–2000 Worked at Morris Singer Foundry - continued to gain experience in the active making of sculpture.

1995-1998 Worked under Ken Whitburn former foundry manager at Morris Singer in London at the time of Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.

1991-1994 Studied at Liverpool John Moores University – BA Hons Degree in Fine Art specialising in sculpture.
