Hamish Mackie

Hamish Mackie is an energetic and exciting young British sculptor known for his animal and figurative bronzes. Inspiration stems from Hamish's love of wildlife and the natural world around him.

Hamish describes his sculptures as coming from a tradition - the original being closely observed from life and finished in bronze. His method is loose, fast and energetic creating his own interpretation of the subject and thus enabling him to capture their power and movement. He has spent time at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya where he sculpted the Elephant, Cheetah, and Black Rhino in the bush.

Hamish is a member of the Royal British Sculptural Society and his work is in collections around the world.
